Starting meditation - raise your kundalini & give bandhan

Firstly, sit back (on the floor or on a chair) and relax.

Let go of the stress of the day and give yourself this time to experience real peace. When we sit to meditate, we start with raising our kundalini, which helps us by stimulating the three energy channels or nadis.

A bandhan protects each of our seven chakras representing innocence, creativity, satisfaction, security, collectivity, forgiveness and integration along with their corresponding physical aspects (such as ear, nose, throat et al for Vishuddhi Chakra of collectivity)

Steps to follow

1.Your left hand will stay steady and your right hand (which is the action hand) will rotate clock wise around your left hand, moving upwards to the top of your head.

2. Now when you reach the top of the head, tie an imaginary knot.

3. Do this again and tie two imaginary knots.

4. Do this for a third time and tie three imaginary knots. The above process was done once for each of the three energy channels, first for the left (Ida nadi), next for right (Pingla nadi) and finally for the central (Sushumana nadi)

5. While keeping the left hand facing upwards on top of the lap, move your right hand slowly from the left to the right of your body from over the top of your head.

6. Now raise the right hand from the right side of your body and bring back to the left side from over the top of your head.

7. The obove two points equal to one bandhan.

8. Now repeat this process seven times for each of the seven chakras.
