How to meditate? |

Sahaja Yoga meditation is simple to practice. You can sit comfortably on a chair or on the floor. Take a few deep breaths, close your eyes (put some meditation music if you feel it helps) and slowly try to lose the thoughts occupying your mind - that of work, family, future, past.
No prior exercise, diet or special clothing is required for this meditation.
All you need is 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the evening!

Steps Explained
Step 1
Place your right hand on the lower part of your abdomen on the left-hand side of your body, and say six times from your heart:
"Mother, please awaken the pure knowledge in me."
Step 2
Place your right hand once again on the upper part of your abdomen on the left-hand side of your body, and affirm ten times from the heart: "Mother, I am my own master !"
Step 3
Place your right hand once again on your heart, on the left-hand side of your body, and with full confidence, deep down inside yourself affirm: "Mother, I am the Spirit !"
Step 4
Place your right hand between your neck and your shoulder on the left-hand side of your body. To clear this centre, all sense of guilt must be got rid of. That is why you should affirm with conviction: "Mother, I am not guilty!"
Step 5
Place your right hand on your forehead, pressing both temples lightly. To clear this chakra, you need to forgive. Deep down inside yourself and with the utmost sincerity, affirm: "Mother, I forgive everybody, including myself!"
Step 6
Place your right hand on the back of your head and this time, ask for forgiveness for all the mistakes you may have made knowingly or unknowingly. Do not feel guilty. Deep down inside, repeat several times: " Oh Divine, please forgive any mistakes I may have made, consciously or unconsciously."
Step 7
Now, close your eyes and place the palm of your right hand on top of your head.
Spread your fingers and press firmly with the flat of your hand, then lightly massage your scalp seven times in a clockwise direction. Each time, ask humbly: " Mother, please give me Self Realisation."
